- What is your favorite part of your job? Day to day, it is the opportunity to work closely with so many great clients, helping answer their questions and guiding them to and through retirement. But more personally, I have formed many great friendships from the relationships that started out as clients.
- Do you or your business donate to any charities? Which ones? Why? As a matter of fact, WPC is promoting “40 Acts of Kindness” with our clients this year in celebration of our 40th anniversary in business. Along with our donations to various local organizations, over the last 10 years we have assisted clients in giving over $9.5 million in donor advised funds and private foundations to numerous local and national causes.
- What are the three most important things about your business? Our business model is built upon providing a unique client experience, being prepared to answer any questions they have about their finances and ultimately, helping clients navigate the complexities of saving, investing, retiring and creating a legacy for their families.
- If you could explain your business in the simplest form, how would you? Helping our client simplify the complexities of financial planning and investment management in order to give them confidence in their retirement spending plans
- What is the key to your success? If you act in the best interest of your client at all times, they will come to trust and rely on your guidance. This has created an organic referral system that has allowed us to grow faster than many of our peers and in a “right fit” way.
- What is one of your favorite quotes? Warren Buffet – when talking about the stock market it is best “to be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful”
- Best advice anyone has given you? It’s hard to narrow down the list of great advice to just one, but one motto we work to help clients understand is the wisdom passed to me by an accountant years ago… It’s not about what you make, it’s about what you keep. It really applies across the spectrum.
- What is your favorite hangout in Cincinnati? It’s hard to beat Silver Spring House for just about any type of gathering with friends.
- What do you like most about being a member of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce? Having lived in or near Montgomery for the last 50 years, I enjoy being a part of a long-vibrant and connected business community. The Chamber is a great place to meet other like-minded business people, share business ideas and promote one of the top suburbs in the city.
- What is your favorite place to eat in Montgomery? My wife’s cooking is awfully good, but aside from that, we really enjoy one of the new hot spots, Kitchen Social.
