What is your favorite part of your job?

As an event planner, I am fortunate to get to know our guests and uncover what is important to them. I love hearing each person’s story. They are all unique and I can help bring life to their vision.

Do you or your business donate to any charities? Which ones? Why?

The Jeff Ruby Foundation was re-launched earlier this year after a brief hiatus during Covid. Through The Jeff Ruby Foundation, we support children and organizations that positively impact the foster care world.  At its core, The Jeff Ruby Foundation’s mission is to find solutions to providing stable and loving homes for vulnerable youth. On a personal level, I have enjoyed leading our team’s donations for the Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family for several years. I also foster with the Buckeye Cattle Dog Rescue.

What was the inspiration behind the business? Or What is your inspiration?

My inspiration comes from the successes and learnings of past events along with sharing ideas with our sales team.  In addition to Carlo & Johnny, we are fortunate to have four additional entities in Cincinnati: The Lempicka event venue, Jeff Ruby’s Catering, The Precinct in Columbia Tusculum and Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse downtown.  Beyond that is Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Columbus, Louisville, Lexington, and Nashville. Collaborating with my counterparts gives me such great joy!

If you could explain your business in the simplest form, how would you?

Making each guest feel extremely special while enjoying the best in service and food; we call this the Jeff Ruby Experience.

What is the key to your success?

A well-executed event always needs to have a vision, communication, accountability, and collaboration.

Do you have any hobbies or activities of interest? What are they?

I love running and hot yoga. It is my escape from everything including my racing mind!

What is one of your favorite quotes?

My family has a place in Tennessee that is our happy place. Jon Muir’s quote, “And into the forest, I go to lose my mind and find my soul,” best articulates my love for the outdoors.
Name one short term goal.  To remain present in what is happening in the moment and not be two steps ahead thinking about something else.

What do you like most about being a member of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce?

I love being a part of this close-knit community and building meaningful connections. This has always been very important to The Ruby Family as well. I am proud to be an extension of that.

What is your favorite Cincinnati sports team? The Bengals! I also have my very own Loveland Tiger Football Player at home who I also love to watch play.
